On August 1, the new passive fundraising provision came into force. Thus, permission is now required from the police.
Three-grandson Ionela Tamas describes how she felt when she went to the police station on Monday along with city mission staff to retrieve her begging state:
- I was very happy and started crying, says Ionela Tamas.
The permit must be able to be shown by the person who begs the police request, but even if the police have granted permission, the landowner has the right to ask the person to leave the place.
