Airliner arrives in a cornfield, 29 people injured Russia August 15 20:42

An aircraft that departed from Moscow, Russia, detected an engine abnormality immediately after takeoff and landed in a cornfield near the runway, causing at least 29 passengers to be injured. Aviation authorities are looking closely at the situation, thinking that a bird strike has occurred, where birds are sucked into the engine.

After 6:00 am on the 15th, Ural Airlines Flight 178 Airbus A321, which departed from Zhukov Airport near Moscow in Russia for southern Ukraine, detected an engine abnormality one minute after takeoff.

The aircraft lowered its altitude as it was and landed in a cornfield approximately 2 kilometers away from the runway.

According to the Russian Ministry of Health, at least 29 of the 226 passengers, including 10 children, were injured in their heads and limbs due to the impact of emergency landing and were treated at the hospital.

The pilots that were piloting said that immediately after takeoff, the flocks of birds were being sucked into the engine, and aviation authorities looked closely at the situation, seeing a bird strike.
