National Police agents arrested this Wednesday afternoon, thanks to citizen collaboration, a 22-year-old boy who allegedly stabbed a pedestrian in the neck with whom he had no relationship, as sources confirmed to Europa Press the Superior Headquarters.

The victim, 52 , was walking down the street when he suffered the aggression, at the time he was at the crossroads between Guillem de Castro and Ángel Guimerá streets, in the immediate vicinity of the Police Headquarters itself. As published on Thursday the Provinces , the victim was injured with serious injuries.

About 16.30, the Police received a stabbing notice to a person who was walking down the street and to whom another, with whom he had no relationship, had assaulted him and left the place. Witnesses of the facts provided the agents with details of the aggressor, who was quickly located nearby. According to the information published by the newspaper, the young man, of Colombian nationality, threw the knife on the ground and continued walking along the sidewalk in the direction of the old channel of the Túria.

The victim, of Spanish nationality, asked for help and was first assisted by an employee of a nearby establishment that covered her wound. According to the Headquarters, while some agents searched for the alleged perpetrator, located it and retrieved the weapon used, another sign Zeta stayed with the injured person, helping him until the arrival of the health services.

Sources from the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) have indicated that they received the stabbing notice at 4:27 p.m. and mobilized a SAMU unit that treated the victim for neck injuries, although they have not specified their state.

The detainee, who is considered the alleged perpetrator of a attempted homicide, is not expected to go to court on Thursday.
