According to the publication, riots broke out at a time when a fight began in the courtyard of the correctional institution with the participation of about 200 prisoners.
It is clarified that eight prisoners were placed in hospitals outside the institution, about 50 people received medical care in the prison.
It is noted that the riot ceased after the guards fired warning shots, none of the prison staff was injured.
In July, it was reported that at least 57 people were killed in the Brazilian municipality of Altamira as a result of riots in the prison.
