Zelensky’s office evaluated the Cabinet’s refusal to consider Klitschko’s resignation
The resignation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and a number of heads of regional state administrations will be considered by the new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine after its formation.
About this, as Interfax-Ukraine reports, the press service of the office of the Ukrainian leader said, commenting on the refusal of the government, headed by Vladimir Groysman, to consider the resignation of Klitschko.
"The new composition of the government will consider issues on those heads of regional state administrations appointed during the time of Petro Poroshenko, who cannot be considered by the current government," the statement said.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Ryabchuk said that the Cabinet will not consider the dismissal of Klitschko from the post of head of the Kiev city state administration.
In late July, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky demanded that the government dismiss Klitschko.
Expert Mikhail Pogrebinsky commented on Zelensky’s demand in an interview with the FAN.
