The Swedish Boat Union makes measurements of how the sea tulips are spreading and they are warning right now that the small crustacean has proliferated in the Stockholm archipelago to a greater extent. This means that it may be time to review the boat hull.

The sea tulips attach to boat bottoms and become like very hard shells if you do not remove them in time which can lead to lower speeds and increased exhaust emissions. The sea tulips, on the other hand, can be removed at an early stage by washing by hand, in special boat washes or even driving the boat into sweeter water.

The Sea Turtle Warning is designed to get boat owners to use other methods of growth than toxic bottom paint.
