Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church ceased to exist
The non-canonical Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC) officially no longer exists.
About this they write "Ukrainian News" with reference to a message published in the parliamentary newspaper "Voice of Ukraine".
“On July 29, 2019, an entry was made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individuals, Entrepreneurs and Public Associations on the termination (existence. - RT ) of the religious organization“ Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church ”by reorganization,” the statement says.
It is clarified that the UAOC has joined the non-canonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU).
In connection with the liquidation of the UAOC, all powers of attorney issued to her name before July 29 were revoked.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Muraev said that the PCU is a stillborn structure. Prior to this, he also claimed that nobody needed a PCU.
In July, the head of the non-canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate (UOC-KP) Filaret (Denisenko) expressed the opinion that the PCU has no future.
In January, political analyst and publicist Yuri Golub in an interview with the FAN appreciated the receipt by the Orthodox Church of Ukraine of a tomos about autocephaly.
