The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court has begun the trial of two young Gulf men on charges of possession and use of drugs, after they were caught in an abnormal condition in possession of heroin and hashish, and confessed to abuse.

Details of the incident are due to the receipt of a report that two young men were in an abnormal condition and suspected of using drugs. Immediately, security teams moved to their location and were seized. Therefore, they were referred to the prosecution, and then to the court to complete legal proceedings.

The court said that he went to the clinic in a specialized hospital to treat addicts, and met the doctor, but was unable to complete treatment, because he did not get an appointment and coordinate with the doctor for treatment. He says he is receiving treatment and is trying to stop taking drugs, noting that when he was caught, he was overdose that made him fall to the ground and fainted.

The mother of the first accused came and admitted that her son was suffering from addiction, was receiving treatment in a hospital and had reports to that effect, and asked the court to release him to continue his treatment.

In turn, the court postponed the case to a hearing on August 20 to present the defense.
