The Moscow City Court left the first accused of riots in jail on July 27

The Moscow City Court rejected the complaint about the arrest of Ivan Podkopayev, the first accused of participating in a riot during an unauthorized rally on July 27 in the center of the capital.

“The decision of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow upheld, the appeal is dismissed,” the judge quotes RIA Novosti.

In early August, the Presnensky court arrested Podkopaev until September 27. It is noted that during the detention a knife, a hammer, a gas mask and a pepper spray were seized from him.

The young man does not admit guilt.

Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee indicted the participant of illegal actions Konstantin Kotov under Art. 212.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a rally).
