“We know that there are such initiatives, we know that they are being introduced, proposed, but so far this has not been discussed in the administration,” said Peskov.

Earlier, the federation of trade unions came up with a proposal to transfer Russian citizens to a four-day working week.

Elena Varshavskaya, a professor at the Department of Human Resource Management at the Higher School of Economics, expressed an opinion in an interview with NSN that the proposal was premature.

The Russian Ministry of Labor noted that the current Labor Code sets the maximum duration of a working week (no more than 40 hours), and there is no lower limit.
