“The case was opened on the fact that Asanov ignored the orders of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kashkar Dzhunushaliev, the unauthorized decision-making and the danger of the employees of the internal affairs bodies during the operation for the detention of ex-president Almazbek Atabmayev,” TASS quoted the representative of the prosecutor’s office.
It is noted that the case was instituted under the article “Abuse of official position”.
It was reported the day before that Asanov was fired following an official investigation "for betraying the interests of the Kyrgyz police and losing confidence" after the events surrounding the detention of former republic president Almazbek Atambayev.
