Nigeria, mine breaks out: 4 dead soldiers

3.05 Four Nigerian soldiers were killed by the explosion of a mine on the passage of the car in which they traveled, near Bosso, a city in south-eastern Niger, a frequent target of incursions by the Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram. The four soldiers killed belonged to the Multinational Joint Force (Niger, Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon) which has been operating since 2015 in the Lake Chad Basin against Boko Haram. The Diffa region has been the scene of Boko Haram attacks since 2015.
