“Today he testified at the NABU in a criminal case, which was opened upon my appeal. It relates to a public statement by the head of the president’s office, Andrei Bogdan, about allegedly offering some persons a bribe of $ 20 million, allegedly on my behalf! ”Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.
He stressed that such statements require a pre-trial investigation and may indicate a criminal offense.
“One thing is surprising: why Mr. Bogdan, a lawyer by profession, did not immediately contact the law enforcement agencies, but left with“ vivid ”statements to the press conference?” Asked the mayor of Kiev.
Klitschko also expressed hope that the investigation will let everyone know what really happened.
“I, like the rest of society, want to know: if this really happened, who addressed, on whose behalf and with what proposal? Surnames, amounts, conditions and whether the official received undue profit, ”he said.
Earlier, NABU confirmed the initiation of a criminal case on the possible commission of a corruption offense in connection with the statement on the offer of a bribe to Bogdan.
As Ukrainian media reported, Bogdan during a briefing talked about offering him a bribe in the amount of $ 20 million, allegedly to keep Klitschko at his post.
