Rome (AP) - In the government crisis in Italy right-wing populist Matteo Salvini has suffered a setback. The demand of the right-wing Lega for a quick vote of no-confidence fell in the evening in the Senate in Rome during a vote. Instead, head of government Giuseppe Conte is expected to speak on Tuesday in the Senate on the political crisis. Salvini, who is Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in the Conte Cabinet, plunged the government alliance with the five-star movement into crisis last week and urges a quick new election.
