Brussels (AFP) Unlike Germany, the economy in the eurozone as a whole grew in the second quarter. The increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in the 19 countries of the monetary union was between April and June, 0.2 percent compared to the previous quarter, as the statistics agency Eurostat announced on Wednesday. In the first quarter, however, it was still 0.4 percent. This confirms initial estimates by the EU authorities at the end of July.
