On Wednesday, a Danish police assumed that a Swedish man had been arrested and another Swedish man was being sought on suspicion of the explosion at the Tax Board in Copenhagen.

At a press conference later in the day, Mette Frederiksen (S) says she sees the explosion as an attack on Danish authorities and their security. Now, the Danish government wants to review security at the border with Sweden.

"Must not be everyday in Denmark"

- This must not be everyday in Denmark. We must not get used to explosions, she says according to DR.

Among other things, increased access to camera surveillance, as well as electronic surveillance of registration plates, should be considered, according to Mette Frederiksen.

- We have come to the conclusion that we need to give the police more tools to stop this type of crime.

Want to strengthen ID checks

Frederiksen also talked about strengthened ID checks between Sweden and Denmark, but added that the focus should not be on, for example, the people who live in Malmö but work in Copenhagen.

- The target is the criminals - it is not the many commuters or people who travel through the country.

The Danish Justice Minister Nick Haekkerup (S) also participated in the press conference. He does not want to comment on whether the explosion is gang-related.
