Sharjah Municipality has confirmed that it has intensified its inspection campaigns during the Eid days to control roving butchers, due to their danger to health and environment, where the number of inspectors has been increased to 68 inspectors, to carry out continuous campaigns that resulted in the seizure of 36 roving butchers caught during the slaughter process, and take the necessary measures Against them.

The municipality warned of these butchers because the sacrifice is not subjected to examination, which in turn exposes the consumer to various diseases, as well as the lack of expertise of the roaming butchers to judge the validity of carcasses for consumption, and not aware of the legal conditions of slaughter, and not to ensure that it is free from infectious diseases that are possible It does not adhere to hygiene practices, personal hygiene and cleanliness of the materials used, which poses risks to the health of the consumer, as well as the lack of proper disposal of slaughtering residues that lead to environmental pollution.

She pointed out that the central slaughterhouse received during the days of Eid al-Adha, about 3000 sacrifices of sheep, goats and cows, where work continued from six in the morning until seven in the evening during these days, during which the municipality provided a cadre qualified to deal with the large number of sacrifices, and provide a healthy atmosphere Appropriate, as the central slaughterhouse is the ideal place for slaughter, for the availability of all the requirements of hygiene and sterilization and veterinary supervision of all carcasses.

The Director of the Supervision and Municipal Inspection Department and Chairman of the Preparation Committee for Eid al-Adha, Adel Omar, said that the General Services Department worked to create and modernize the market facilities, the central slaughterhouse and the mobile slaughterhouse, and to ensure the readiness of all facilities, in addition to providing a tent to receive the sacrifice with their sacrifices, and other air-conditioned to wait for visitors Central Slaughterhouse.

He added that the Environmental Services Department provided a large number of workers at the livestock market and the central slaughterhouse, to follow up the cleaning operations in the slaughterhouse and its facilities, and to increase the number of containers.He pointed out that the capacity of the slaughterhouse during the feast reached 80 carcasses per hour and 140 small carcasses.
