2019-08-13T19:01:04.073Z

The President of the United States Donald Trump said that the country will leave the World Trade Organization in the "case of need."

It is reported by RIA Novosti.

As the American leader said during a speech in Pennsylvania, WTO rules allow other countries to "use the United States."

In July, Donald Trump ordered the US Trade Mission to review the status of some developing countries in the World Trade Organization.

In February, Washington accused Moscow of abandoning the principles of openness of the WTO markets and announced its intention to combat this.

Political analyst Alexander Asafov, in an interview with PolitExpert, expressed the view that the United States "by right of the strong" consider international agreements to be optional.
