“In light of the ongoing turmoil and the growing incidence of violent incidents in Hong Kong, it is imperative that all parties exercise restraint, reject all forms of violence and take urgent measures to aggravate the situation,” the EU said.

They noted that it is important to “participate in the political process” and conduct a broad dialogue with the participation of “all key stakeholders”.

Previously, all flights from Hong Kong were again canceled due to the seizure by the protesters of the airport building.

The police reported that protesters began surrounding the police stations and attacking them, including damaging office premises.
