The emotion did not fall in Agon-Coutainville, in the Channel, 24 hours after the sinking of a motorboat swept away by the swell, drama that took the lives of three children, trapped in the cabin of the craft. Europe 1 met one of the SNSM's rescuers, Pascal Dutot, who intervened at the time.

"The children could not come out by the cabin door"

"We arrived at the scene and we saw the boat that was sunk in. Given the way the boat was, they were trapped: the children could not come out the door of the cabin," says Pascal Dutot at the microphone from Europe 1, moved. The boat contained six boaters, but the three adults were thrown into the sea. They were rescued safe and sound.

Therefore, seeing that it is impossible to access the cabin through the door, the rescuers of the SNSM are trying everything for the whole. "We tapped the tiles to break them, we managed and we were able to bring back a first child, and I took him aboard the zodiac to bring him back to the ground to give him first aid," recalls Pascal Dutot. Unfortunately, in cardiac arrest when all three were supported by the relief, they could not be resuscitated. The three dead children are two girls of 9 and 13 years old and a boy of 7 years old.
