This was reported on the website of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

“The death of domestic pigs in the central part of Serbia, according to information available to the Rosselkhoznadzor, occurred between July 30 and August 7 this year,” the department noted, adding that the ASF gene was found in dead pigs.

The ban on import is also subject to pig embryos and boar semen, as well as all products containing pork, except for those that have undergone special processing.

The Rosselkhoznadzor stressed that Serbia has already become the 13th country in Europe, where ASF was discovered.

It was previously reported that Russia and Belarus tightened control over EU products due to ASF.
