“A Russian aircraft, accompanied by at least one Russian fighter, was previously tracked over the Baltic Sea today,” RIA Novosti told NATO.

According to the organization’s official, the fighters were sent to “identify an aircraft that flew close to the Allied airspace”.

“As soon as the identification of the aircraft was completed, NATO aircraft returned to the base,” they said.

Earlier it became known that the F-18 NATO fighter tried to approach the board of the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.

The Su-27 pilots accompanying the minister’s plane did not allow the F-18 to come close to the airliner, pushing it out.

The Ministry of Defense published footage of what happened.
