Many Rågsveds residents suffered a minor shock on Tuesday morning as they passed the center - where one of the world's oldest graffiti paintings was about to be painted, which the newspaper Mitt i was the first to tell.
The classic work Highway was painted by Still Heavens Only Force (SHOF) in 1989, but now it is uncertain if there will be any attention from the 30th anniversary later this year.
According to the Citizens' Office in Rågsved, it is the property owner of Rågsved's center who is behind the painting, which seems to have happened by mistake in connection with scrubbing.
"Cultural heritage painted over"The over-painting was interrupted by Rågsvedsbor, who saw what was happening. It is unclear if the painting can be restored.
- We will raise the issue with the property manager and the center owner to see if we can restore the painting in any way. It is Rågsved's cultural heritage that has been painted over, says Gustav Johansson (M), chairman of the district board of Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, in a first comment.
