Australian police on Monday arrested a man who stabbed a woman in the middle of downtown Sydney and sued several others, witnesses said.
"Shoot me down!"
Police confirmed the arrest of the attacker and indicated that the victim was in a "stable" state. Images broadcast by Australian media show the man jumping on the roof of a car screaming "Allah Akbar" brandishing a knife while screaming "Shoot me!".

A witness at the scene said the attacker, with a huge kitchen knife, had sued others in Sydney's business district after stabbing a woman. "Five or six people chased her to try to stop her," she added, "and they managed to catch and control him."
