The United States “learned a lot” from the incident during rocket engine tests in the Arkhangelsk Region, White House head Donald Trump said. Thus, the US president commented on the incident of August 8, which resulted in the deaths of five Rosatom employees.

Recall, on August 8, an emergency occurred in a military unit near the city of Severodvinsk in the Arkhangelsk region. Specialists of Rosatom and the Ministry of Defense died at a training ground in the Arkhangelsk region as a result of the ignition of an experimental liquid propulsion system. By coincidence, at the time of the fire, Rosatom employees checked isotopic power sources designed for a liquid reactive installation, ”the agency’s source said.

The company said that a fire with a subsequent explosion occurred during a rocket test on an offshore platform. After the explosion, people were thrown into the sea and while there was still hope to find them, there were no statements about the dead, the corporation explained.
