“President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who is on a working trip to the Zhytomyr region, introduced a new head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, during a meeting on illegal amber mining,” the statement said.
In late June, Zelensky fired the governors of the Zhytomyr, Rivne and Cherkasy regions.
The Ukrainian president also ordered the acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ivan Bakanov, to replace the heads of departments in Rivne, Volyn and Zhytomyr regions.
