A father and two children were seriously injured after their Tesla S car crashed into a highway truck and caught fire, according to initial reports.

The moment of the explosion was captured and recorded on videotape by the incoming drivers, where it caught a moment before the burning car exploded causing many violent explosions.

The accident occurred halfway through the Moscow ring road on Saturday evening after a Tesla "S" car collided with a Qatar car trying to pull a car with traffic down. While there was no official confirmation, initial reports have blamed the automatic driving system for failing to identify a stationary tow truck that was towing the car before it collided.

Tesla caught fire, while the three people inside (a 41-year-old businessman and two of his children) were rushed to a hospital in serious condition. The man reportedly suffered a concussion, a broken leg, children with cervical spine and chest injuries.
