US Embassy in Ukraine commented on Putin's visit to Crimea
The US Embassy in Ukraine spoke out on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Crimea.
As the American diplomatic mission wrote on its Twitter page, the United States supports the position of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on this issue.
The embassy noted that the trip of Russian officials to the Crimea is unacceptable and violates the sovereignty of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Putin arrived at the Night Wolves bike show in Crimea and congratulated the motorcycle club on the 10th anniversary of the event on the peninsula.
Later, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry protested over Putin’s trip to Crimea.
In turn, the Senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov said that this protest testifies to the impotence of Kiev.
Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
