It is reported by the Donetsk news agency.

“Five years ago, the Russian Federation sent the first humanitarian convoy, the first convoy of white trucks to Donbass, which have now become a full-fledged symbol of unconditional support,” she noted.

The Minister emphasized that Russia helped people in an extremely difficult time for Donbass: the Ukrainian authorities conducted active hostilities in the region, a number of economic, financial, transport and humanitarian blockades were introduced against the population, and restrictions on civil rights were enacted against civilians and freedoms.

According to the agency, it was on August 12, 2014 that the first convoy with humanitarian aid of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, consisting of 280 vehicles, left Naro-Fominsk outside Moscow for the southwestern border of Russia.

On July 25, the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs Migration Service announced that more than 5.5 thousand residents of the republic received Russian passports.
