All flights from Hong Kong airport on August 12 canceled due to protests

All flights from Hong Kong were canceled on Monday, August 12, due to the capture of the airport building by protesters.

“Check-out has been canceled,” the South China Morning Post quoted the operator of Hong Kong International Airport as saying.

He also added that only those flights for which check-in has already been completed, as well as arriving flights that are already on their way to Hong Kong, have not been canceled.

There are massive traffic jams on the roads leading to the airport.

Earlier, a policeman in Hong Kong suffered burns after they threw a Molotov cocktail into him.
