A begging permit can be introduced in Norrköping

It was P4 Östergötland who first came out with the statement that there is a political majority for a begging state in Norrköping.

Now the four parties that control Norrköping (S, C, L and KD) want to wait and see how the condition falls out in Eskilstuna. If the results of permit requirements would look good, the governing parties will submit a similar proposal.

- The basic idea, that you should know who is in the municipality, we think is good. This is the first prerequisite for being able to help, says Lars Stjernkvist, chairman of the municipal council.

The proposal for a Yes permit will be taken up by the City Council in September. However, the execution itself should be expected until the result from Eskilstuna is clear.

- If it works out well in Eskilstuna then we think it is an interesting idea. We want to see that it has made it easier to help individuals, ”says Lars Stjernkvist.
