Oman, Morocco and Mauritania will celebrate the first day of Eid al-Adha on Monday, while 19 Arab countries celebrated Eid al-Adha on Monday, due to the different vision of Hilal Dhul-Hijjah in each country. The International Astronomy Center pointed out that all Islamic countries are committed to the pilgrimage, as announced by Saudi Arabia, while these countries determine when Eid al-Adha is based on the vision of the crescent, and legally this is acceptable and there is no problem on it.
Mohammed Odeh, Director of the International Astronomy Center, told Emirates Today that some people believe that all Islamic countries follow Saudi Arabia in scheduling Eid al-Adha because of Hajj. Dhu al-Hijjah determines the basis of the date of the first day of Eid al-Adha.

He pointed out that many Islamic countries had announced that Saturday before last August 3, the day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, and that the first day of Eid al-Adha will be on Monday, August 12, including these countries Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, India and some Muslim countries in Africa.
