Saab's CEO Håkan Buskhe leaves

Saab announced on Sunday that Håkan Buskhe will quit as CEO and CEO of the company.

His current employment contract means that during his six-month notice period he will continue in his current role until February 2020.

- The reason I choose to leave Saab is that I would like to face another operational challenge in my career. Until a new CEO is appointed, I will have full focus on Saab to facilitate my successor, ”Saab's President and CEO Håkan Buskhe said in a press release.

Håkan Buskhe has been President and CEO of the company since 2010. Work to find a successor has now begun.

- Under Håkan Buske's leadership, Saab has also expanded internationally and started collaborations with a number of other leading defense industries. All in all, this means that Saab today stands on a solid foundation, which is necessary in the extremely rapid technological development that affects all industries, says Marcus Wallenberg, chairman of the board in a press release.
