The powerful 9th ​​typhoon Rekima passed through Zhejiang province in southeastern China, leaving 48 people dead or missing, leaving a huge loss of life and property.

Local media reported that as of 6:30 am local time today, local governments found that 28 people were killed in Zhejiang alone and 20 were missing due to Rekimah.

The severe rains that Rekima drove on caused a series of landslides and floods in Loan County and Linhai City, resulting in particularly high casualties.

In Loan Prefecture alone, 22 landslides and 10 people were missing, as landslides and dirt struck homes.

Property damage continued.

As of 5 pm yesterday, 4.17 million displaced people occurred in 26 cities and 76 prefectures in Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Jiangsu.

More than 700 homes were completely destroyed, and 14,000 homes were damaged.

Water from all over the banks crossed the banks and up to 1 to 2 meters high in Linhai City and other cities, and 100,000 ha of farmland was submerged.

In Zhejiang where the typhoon passed, large trees were uprooted, floated on the water, and smashed up and down, and the inverted cars rolled down the streets and seemed to have been bombed.

According to the China Meteorological Department, at 9 am, Rekima is heading north past Yancheng in Jiangsu Province, weakening to a tropical storm.

Rekima, however, is expected to continue to wind north and along the eastern coast of China with heavy winds and heavy rain.
