“The funny thing is that Yuri Vetrenko (Naftogaz’s executive director, RT) is seen as one of the candidates for the post of prime minister. I do not really believe that he will become one, but there is such information. For Zelensky it is important that the prime minister is a person who knows how to enter the Western offices. Therefore, candidates similar to Vitrenko are constantly surfacing. Nevertheless, we see that he, as one of the leaders of Naftogaz, cannot solve any problems. The question that he will not remain in the company, I think, is resolved. However, Zelensky himself does not have good candidates for this position, he never did this, ”the expert said.

According to Bruter, the future prospects of Naftogaz no longer depend on Ukraine and on who will become the next manager of the company.

“The question is that his powers will be severely limited. At present, Naftogaz and Ukraine as a whole can either agree with the proposals of the Russian side or not, and then the transit will be interrupted next year. There are no special options for Kiev in this regard. Therefore, even if the leadership of Naftogaz is replaced in September, when the new government begins work, this will not result in a quick way out of the current situation. Moreover, so many would like Ukraine to not agree to Russian proposals, ”he concluded.

Earlier, Boyko said that he and his political force intend to seek a change in the leadership of Naftogaz, which, according to him, thinks only of its own benefit.
