“We are investigating this as an attempt to commit a terrorist act,” said Assistant Chief of Police Rune Skold at a press conference.
He added that the suspect in the attack was most likely acting alone. He is currently charged with murder and attempted murder.
Earlier in Norway, in a suburb of Oslo, as a result of shooting at a mosque, one person was injured, the attacker was detained.
Police later reported the discovery of the body of the deceased, noting that the incident involved shooting at a mosque.
