Italy's Romano Fenati (Honda) won the Moto3 race at the Austrian Grand Prix, a redemption victory for the rider who had his license retired last year while racing in Moto2.

Fenati finished on the finish line with his compatriot Tony Arbolino and British driver John McPhee, both of them on Honda, who crossed the finish line with Italy's Celestino Vietti (KTM) finishing fourth.

At the world championship, the fight between the Italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta, 6th in Austria, and the Spaniard Aron Canet (10th) remains intense, the first preceding the second only a tiny point.

For Romano Fenati, this 11th victory in Moto3, a category in which he returned this year, has an air of redemption after the controversy that had earned him lose his license last year.

At the San Marino GP, he was holding the brake handle of his opponent Stefano Manzi in the middle of the race, barely provoking an accident between the two drivers.

Referred from his team after this action, he had also seen his license suspended and was unable to finish the season, becoming a real plagueman in the paddock.

He decided to come back this year in Moto3, a category in which he ran from 2012 to 2017 with the best result being a 2nd place at the world championship in 2017.

He did not want to comment on this return to favor Sunday after the race, stating: "I am very happy with this result, it was difficult to lead the race and the conditions today were difficult with a wet track. places".

He finished second in front of a group composed of Arbolino, McPhee and Vietti, who also included the Spaniard Jaume Masia (KTM) before a fall in the penultimate lap.
