Cinema halls in Egypt are preparing to receive visitors in one of the most important commercial seasons of cinema, Eid al-Adha season.
In recent years, action films have dominated Egyptian box office revenues, including: "Harb Karmouz" by Peter Mimi and Amir Karara, "Cell" by Ahmed Ezz, and "Diesel" by Mohamed Ramadan; but the surprise came at last Eid al-Adha. Tamer Hosni and Akram Hosni excelled in the comedy film "Suit" over Ramadan action in "diesel" and the thrill of Youssef Sharif in "Bani Adam."
Now the scene looks similar, especially as we face a renewed competition between Ahmed Ezz and Mohamed Ramadan.
Ezz this time accompanied by Ahmed El Fishawy in the second part of the "Wlad Rizk", and Ramadan this time supported by Mohamed Saad in the second part of the "treasure", and from afar to appear Ahmed Helmy in the film "fantasy of the comedy" co-starring Menna Shalabi and Khaled El-Sawy.
So what can we expect from the second parts of Ezz and Ramadan? More importantly, can my dream repeat the suit in the last Eid al-Adha?
Ezz Al - Baltaj faces the army
In the summer of 2015, Ahmed Ezz, accompanied by director Tarek El-Erian and author Salah Al-Juhaini, made one of his most successful films on the public level, `` Wlad Rizk '', in which Ezz played the role of Reza the elder brother in the Rizk family, and the mastermind of the gang that he and his brothers gather.
The film succeeded as a result of the fans' fascination with the sudden plot or the so-called "Twist" drama, in addition to the presence of a large number of stars in supporting roles, most notably Ahmed Al-Fishawi, Ahmed Dawood and Amr Youssef.
Ahmed Ezz then set out on a number of new roles for him personally, namely those of the national hero belonging to the security services.
It was the beginning with the cell, in which Ezz played the role of a police officer specializing in counterterrorism operations, making this film a huge revenue that made him compete for the first place in the highest-grossing films in the history of Egyptian cinema.
Ezz was once again chosen to perform the role of a national hero, but this time he was an army officer, and this came through the film "Pass", which received mixed reactions between negative and positive during the Eid al-Fitr season.
Today Ezz returns back to the thrill of crime through the second part of "Ould Rizk", the return we expect to succeed especially if the success factors repeated the first part.
Ramadan and Saad too late
On the other hand, it seems that Ramadan's chance in this season is limited, although he is in a film directed by Sharif Arafa and written by Abdul Rahim Kamal, but starred in a star the size of Mohammed Saad.
This comes as a logical consequence of the failure of the first part of the public as a result of the exaggeration of Abdul Rahim Kamal in the long dialogues that made the film more like a boring series, on the other hand it seems too late to save Mohamed Saad from the trap of repetition, which made him undesirable to the audience of cinema.
My dream is to bet on comedy
The third wager of the Eid al-Adha season is Ahmed Helmy, an actor capable of reaping the highest revenue through his own mix of comedy, romance and social criticism.
This time, Ahmed Helmy combines the script of Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Khaled Merhi, who together with Helmi made their best films, namely "Sorry for the inconvenience" and "Black Honey".
It seems safe to bet on Helmy, where he can undoubtedly disengage between Ezz and Ramadan, and we can expect his ability to lead the proceeds of the Eid season, especially since the film team includes besides Helmi names loved by the audience, including: Khaled El Sawy, Menna Shalaby and Lotfi Labib, but The most important question will be about what the scenario of Abdul Rahim Kamal, and will he be able to employ all these good elements in a mixture to achieve success?
My dream will come first, but what will happen next, this is the question that the Eid audience will answer.
