01 August 2019 The balance of the double Houthi attack that targeted government forces in Aden, southern Yemen, took place at least 40 dead and dozens injured. The news agency 'DPA' reported this, citing local sources.

The most bloody attack occurred during a military parade in the al-Jala'a base, in the western part of Aden. Shiite rebel TV channel Houthi 'al-Masirah has claimed that a ballistic missile was launched in the base attack and armed drones were used. The second attack, not yet claimed, was carried out by a suicide bomber who blew himself up in a car in front of the police headquarters in the Sheikh Othman neighborhood. Among the dead of the attack against the military parade include General Munir al-Yafi, commander of the so-called 'Safety Belt', and some of his bodyguards. The 'Security Belt', underlines the 'DPA', is a force "trained and supported by the United Arab Emirates", a key ally of Saudi Arabia in the military coalition that supports government forces against the Houthi.
