In the United States, billionaire Jeffrey Esptein ended his life in a New York prison where he was awaiting trial. The American billionaire was accused of sexual abuse of minors.

The dead body of Jeffrey Esptein was discovered this Saturday morning August 10, in his cell, around 6:30 local time. According to US media, he hanged himself. Helpers tried to resuscitate him before he was finally pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The FBI immediately announced that it was opening an investigation. Because, a few weeks ago, Jeffrey Esptein had already been found unconscious in his cell with marks on the spot, which suggested a first suicide attempt. Many this Saturday wonder if the administration had made the necessary to strengthen its surveillance.

He risked up to 45 years in prison

At the age of 66, the billionaire was at the heart of a sex scandal in the United States. He was accused of sex trafficking. Between 2002 and 2005, he allegedly abused dozens of minors. The youngest aged only 14, in exchange for sums of money.

On Friday again, the American media unveiled new details about the Esptein affair and how he had put in place a whole system . He was risking up to 45 years in prison.

Today, some of his victims are sad to see him escape justice. One of them, Jennifer Araoz said, " We have to live with the scars of what he has done to us when he will never have to deal with the consequences of his crimes . "

All hope that justice will continue investigations against his possible accomplices.
