President Trump says he received a letter from Kim Jong Un yesterday.

[Trump / President: I received a letter yesterday. It was delivered in person, and no one opened a letter. A letter was delivered directly from my office to my office.]

All of the letters are very positive, saying they think they will have another meeting with Kim.

Kim also said in his letter that he had a negative view on ROK-US combined training.

[Trump / US President: Kim Jong-un did not like the ROK-US combined training. What we do is small training. But Kim didn't like it and wrote it in a letter.]

He added that he did not like the US-Korea Combined Training.

[Trump / US President: I never like ROK-US combined training. Because I hate paying for training. We have to get the training back, and we have said so in Korea.]

The response seemed to wrap up Kim's negative position on ROK-US combined training.

As a result, there are some observations that the possibility of a breakthrough in resuming negotiations between the two countries is likely to be triggered by this letter.

President Trump said earlier that last year, after the North American summit in Singapore, he disliked the United States-US training because of cost reasons.

President Trump says the United States is in a very difficult position when it comes to the conflict between South Korea and Japan and that Korea and Japan should be doing well.
