The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its deep concern over the ongoing armed clashes in Aden, calling for calm and non-escalation and maintaining the security and safety of Yemeni citizens.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stressed the need to focus the efforts of all parties on the basic front and confront the Houthi coup militia and other terrorist groups.

His Highness called for a responsible and serious dialogue in order to end the differences and work on unity in this delicate phase and maintain security and stability.

He also stressed that the UAE, as an active partner in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is exerting all efforts to calm and not escalate in Aden and in urging to mobilize efforts against the Houthi coup and its repercussions. His efforts to press for an end to the great escalation witnessed in the city of Aden, because of the current repercussions of the negative impact on the efforts of the United Nations, which strives to achieve security and stability through the political track, dialogue and negotiations.
