The press service of Gorbachev denied reports of his poor health

There are no grounds for reporting allegedly poor health status of former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev, his press service said.

“We were surprised by the message that appeared about the poor state of health of Mikhail Sergeyevich, because there is no reason for such a message,” Interfax quoted Gorbachev as a representative.

The press service said that the ex-president "was at work in the fund yesterday and met with the fund’s employees yesterday (Friday, August 9th - RT )."

Earlier, RIA Novosti, citing journalist Alexei Venediktov, reported that Gorbachev’s health condition is “very poor” and he has been “living in a hospital” for six months now.
