A person in Norrbotten fell into his home and the medical system suspected a hip fracture, but later on the emergency room the person became ill with a fever and showed signs of blood poisoning.

The person was given antibiotics and admitted to the care department, but there were no checks normally done on seriously ill patients. The morning after, the person's condition was greatly deteriorated and they had to be moved to intensive care.

The incident is Lex Maria notified to IVO, the Inspection for Health and Care.
