Lotta Wahlqvist and Lotta Kellander were the initiators of the memorial race that started in conjunction with Kim Wall's anniversary last summer. Then there were over 600 people running in Gislöv's location to remember Kim. The money goes to the memory fund that created in her memory.

- I know Ingrid before, so I asked her what I can do to raise money for Kim Wall's memorial fund. Then we decided to have a memory race, to let the good win over the bad, says Lotta Wahlqvist.

"We know it makes a difference"

The money from the Memorial Fund is given in the form of a scholarship to journalists working in the spirit of Kim Wall. According to Ingrid Wall, female journalists are vulnerable and therefore need an assurance that they feel safe.

- It feels so nice and comforting to let other women get the chance to do the work that Kim did. We know that it makes a difference with the scholarship, says Ingrid Wall.

Many running

During this year's memory race, around 300 have signed up to participate and run. According to Lotta Wahlqvist, they also run in other cities to honor Kim Wall.

- We have an app where you can run anywhere in the world and post a picture of it. It will be amazing no matter how many there are, says Lotta Wahlqvist.

The memory race starts at 09 in Gislöv's location outside Trelleborg.
