New day, new battle. After the decision of the League, which presented in the Senate yesterday the motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Conte, now the challenge shifts to the moves to do in view of the vote. Among the first decisions to be taken, the one on the date for the arrival in the Chamber of the motion. But if the premier - on the day of the crisis - has repeatedly stated that it will not be his deputy Northern League to set the time, the League pushes on the accelerator for a rapid schedule that will lead to new elections between September and October.

Concept also reiterated last night by the Northern League leader Matteo Salvini: "The Austrians will vote on September 29, in Poland on October 13th, I hope the Italians will vote within the same period", he declared and summoned all the parliamentarians of the League for Monday afternoon at 18. On the same day, the M5S members will also meet. "To face this delicate political situation together and to discuss the next steps on Monday 12th August at 10.30 am, the Joint Chamber and Senate Assembly is convened at the Chamber Group Meeting Room, in the presence of the political leader Luigi Di Maio. invited to participate ", wrote the leader of the M5S in the Chamber, Francesco D'Uva, in the letter of convocation.

Premier Giuseppe Conte in his press conference, reiterated that the crisis will be "transparent" and parliamentary. The premier wrote, therefore, to the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber, Casellati and Fico, to give his willingness to make his communications to the Houses.

Thus on Monday 12 the President of the Senate, Elisabetta Casellati, convened the conference of the group leaders at 4 pm, to establish the date on which the motion of no confidence in the prime minister should be voted. While the meeting of the group leaders of the Chamber of Deputies is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th. Meeting which, also in this case, will serve to schedule the motion of no confidence presented by the League. According to the Regulations, the motion must be "discussed in the session that the Senate establishes, having heard the government, and in any case not before three days from its presentation".

The document, presented yesterday, could therefore be placed on the agenda as early as Tuesday. A request that could be made by the Northern League, determined to accelerate the crisis, but which, in order to be accepted, will have to find the consent of the majority of the Parliamentary Groups. Otherwise the discussion and the vote could be postponed to the week after mid-August. To raise the tension, there is also the position of the opposition, starting with the Democratic Party, which will ask to schedule a no-confidence motion in the Senate with the Minister of the Interior Salvini before the motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister.

To assure it, dem parliamentary sources who recall that the same motion against the owner of the Interior Ministry presented to the Chamber (and scheduled for September 12 at Montecitorio) was also presented at the time in Palazzo Madama. For this reason, the president of the senators Andrea Marcucci will ask the group leader on Monday to respect the chronological order and schedule the dem motion first.

On Monday the assembly also 5-star parliamentarians
"Dear spokesman, there is no need to say that the League made a serious mistake to open the crisis but we must continue to tell the truth and carry out our battles, first of all cutting the number of parliamentarians, to show to the country what is the real reason for this irresponsible act ". The leader of the M5S in the Chamber, Francesco D'Uva, writes this in the letter convening the Cinquestelle deputies. "To face this delicate political situation together and to discuss the next steps on Monday 12th August at 10.30 am, the Joint Chamber and Senate Assembly is convened at the Chamber Group Meeting Room, in the presence of the political leader Luigi Di Maio. invited to participate: now more than ever it is important to remain united ", he concludes.

Meanwhile, the pentastellars raise the need for immediate cuts to the number of parliamentarians and evaluate a collection of signatures. Both the first operation and the second could somehow dilute the times of the crisis.
