“I declare Bolivia and the illegitimate regime of Nicholas Maduro in Venezuela to default in the most obvious way in the last year of their obligations under international agreements to combat the spread of drugs,” the document says.

In addition to Venezuela, the list includes Afghanistan, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru and several other countries.

Earlier, Trump signed a decree on blocking the ownership of the Venezuelan authorities in the US jurisdiction, in particular the Central Bank of Venezuela and the oil company PDVSA.
