This was reported by the press service of the department to TASS following a meeting of the government commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergencies led by the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Yevgeny Zinichev.
“The smoke zone has been significantly reduced. The number of settlements falling into this zone has decreased by 4.5 times since July 30. Exceeding the maximum permissible concentration in smoke-filled territories is not registered, ”the Ministry of Emergencies said.
According to the agency, on July 30, 800 settlements were in the smoke zone.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Irkutsk Region reported that smoke from forest fires enveloped the northern part of the region.
