“Counselors from Primorye rescued 185 children from 10 to 16 years old, who were in the camp at the time of the fire. Competent and well-coordinated actions of the children made it possible to reduce the scale of the tragedy and provide the children with all the necessary assistance in time, ”the regional administration said.
Kozhemyako thanked 16 counselors and awarded four more counselors with an honorary diploma for fulfilling a civic duty and shown dedication in saving children in an emergency.
“I want to say special words of gratitude to the four guys who held fire on their own and, risking their lives, threw themselves into tents and pulled out children. Parents of 185 rescued children will be grateful to you all their lives, ”said the Governor.
