Frankfurt / Main (AP) - After the clear previous day's gains, the Dax on Friday started again with losses.
In the first few minutes of trading, the German leading index lost 0.40 percent to 11,798.21 points, after having gained a whopping 1.7 percent the day before. This suggests a downturn of around 0.6 percent for Germany's most important stock market barometer in this hitherto turbulent stock exchange week.
The MDax, which represents the shares of medium-sized German companies, gained 0.03 percent on Friday to 25,601.03 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the eurozone's leading index, lost around 0.5 percent.
